A spool pad-retainer can guide and retain a stripper plate. It can
also pre-load a die spring. In operation, this example shows the die spring compressed
between the die shoe and the stripper plate providing a pre-loaded spring pressure to the
stripper. When the stripper plate is forced upward, the spring is further compressed while
the spool guides the stripper. A dowel pin or a wrench can prevent the spool from rotating
during installation. |
